Our Story
I’ve loved fishing for as long as I can remember. Fly Fishing Bosnia started as a childhood dream that followed me into adulthood, and over the years it turned into something real. I spent countless hours on rivers and streams, learning the water, chasing that one perfect cast, and enjoying the quiet that only fishing gives you.
Bosnia has always been my playground. The rivers here are wild, clear, and full of life, and being out there never gets old. The more time I spent on the water, the more I wanted to share it with other anglers, not in a “tour” kind of way, but in a genuine way: good fishing, good company, and places that still feel untouched.
That’s how Fly Fishing Bosnia was born. I wanted to create the kind of trips I’d want to go on myself, focused on real fishing, local knowledge, and a relaxed pace. No rushing. No ticking boxes. Just great water, great scenery, and a proper day on the river.
Today, I guide anglers from all over who want an authentic fly fishing experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I keep it personal, I keep it simple, and I do my best to make every trip something you’ll remember for a long time.

Hey there, I’m Faruk, a 28-year-old from Sarajevo, Bosnia. I’ve been hooked on fishing since I was just a kid, but it’s been the last 7 years of diving into fly fishing that really got me excited.
Alongside my love for fishing, I’ve spent over 10 years working as a licensed tour guide here in Sarajevo. Leading people through our beautiful country, I’ve learned how to create unforgettable experiences.
Now, I’m combining my passion for fishing with my guiding expertise. With my knowledge of Bosnia’s waters and years of guiding under my belt, I’m ready to take fellow anglers on incredible fly fishing trips.
